- Provide strategic legal and commercial advice to domestic and multinational clients across diverse sectors.
- Support clients through various stages of their business lifecycle, including incorporations, expansions, restructurings, strategic collaborations, and day-to-day corporate advisory.
- Lead client relationships and deliver practical, business-oriented legal solutions.
- Mentor and develop associates while contributing to the growth and development of the Corporate Practice.
- Collaborate with partners across practice areas to provide seamless, multidisciplinary advice.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and enhance the firm's presence in the Chennai market.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 12+ years of post-qualification experience (flexible for the right candidate).
- Strong experience in General Corporate advisory, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory advisory, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and shareholder matters.
- Exposure to Private Equity, Venture Capital, or M&A transactions would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Currently a Partner, Salaried Partner, Counsel, or a senior Principal Associate with a reputed law firm.
- Demonstrated ability to independently advise clients, manage complex mandates, and build trusted client relationships.
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and a collaborative approach.
Book of Business
An existing portable book of business would be viewed favourably but is not a prerequisite. The firm is equally interested in candidates with a strong professional reputation, deep technical expertise, and the potential to develop and grow a successful practice over time.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Opportunity to play a key role in expanding the firm's Corporate Practice in Chennai.
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative partnership environment.
- Platform to build a long-term practice with support from an established national firm.
